TORONTO – April 4, 2017 – Sklar Wilton & Associates, a leading Canadian marketing and research consultancy, was recognized with a Specialty Award for Best Workplace for Celebrating Successes by the Great Place To Work® Institute.
This award recognizes Sklar Wilton & Associates’ ongoing commitment to recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of their employees and the organization as a whole. The award was given to only 10 companies among hundreds of applicants to the Great Place to Work® Institute, and is based on direct feedback from employees that management shows appreciation for good work and extra effort, people celebrate special events, everyone has the opportunity to get special recognition, and employees feel a sense of pride in their accomplishments.
SW&A has had many opportunities to celebrate success including last year’s 30th anniversary of serving some of Canada’s most iconic brands. Among other celebrations throughout the year, the achievement was topped off with a three day summer retreat. Employees enjoyed an anniversary dinner, customized work sessions with a renowned trend and innovation specialist, team building activities, and personalized relaxation time where they could partake in spa treatments, golfing, biking, and horseback riding.
2016 also saw the induction of Luke Sklar, CMRP FMRIA, founder of Sklar Wilton & Associates, into the American Marketing Association’s Marketing Hall of Legends. The entire SW&A team, along with a contingent of 40 clients, attended the induction ceremony and gala to celebrate this well-deserved lifetime achievement award for his enduring contributions to the marketing community.
The contributions of individual employees are also proudly celebrated. SW&A takes the philosophy of surprise and delight to heart for employees who have made significant above and beyond contributions. Some surprises included weekend getaways and prime seats at Blue Jays baseball games. And for a company of fewer than 40 people, the fact that 16 people have celebrated ten-year anniversaries speaks volumes about the respect and commitment employees have for the rest of the team.
